Introduction

The Model Paint Color Catalog is an electronic catalog and conversion aid for model paint colors. The program is freeware and the source is also avaiable.

In scale modelling colors must be carefully selected to reflect the original painting of the vehicle. Several paint manufacturers are exists but they color identification system is very different. You need to have conversion tables to be able to find the same color of another manufacturer. This program is basically an electronic version of such a color conversion table.

The electronic version has some advantages over the printed tables. It's easy to spread over the internet, easy to update or customize. You can even create your own conversion table.
