V-Tail MixerV-Tail Mixer

Introduction The V-tail Mixer combines two servo signals and provides two output channels the sum and differential of the input chanels. The mixer gives you a prefect solution for rudder and elevator control for V-Tailed airplanes. But beside airplanes it's also can be used for any other vehicle which has two independent drive system on both side and RPM difference is used (or it can help) for turning the vehicle. For example a tank with catepillars, ship with two screws, airplane or hovercraft with to propellers. The hardware itself is very simple contains only one microcontroller and few additional RC elements for power supply and signal filtering. The firmware was written in ASM.

Features:

• Compatible with standard servo pulses (1ms...2ms)
• High resolution (1200points)
• Two Futaba standard servo input connector and two output connector
• Selectable Fail-safe function (middle servo position or no output servo pulse)
• Small size: 40mm x 15mm x 6mm (approx.)

How to change Fail-Safe function

1. Disconnect servos from V-Tail Mixer and disconnect V-Tail mixel from receiver
2. Connect a jumper between the two servo pulse output pin (Marked with 'S' letter)
3. Power-up the mixer (e.g. connect to your receiver)
4. Wait few seconds
5. Disconnect the mixer from power source and remove jumper
6. Now you inverted the Fail-Safe function setting (middle servo position <-> no output servo pulse)
