Introduction
The R/C Joy is an USB joystick emulation interface for R/C Transmitters. The transmitter
must be connected to the R/C Joy interface using buddy (trainer) connector. R/C
Joy has 3.5mm female 'Jack' socket for connecting to the buddy connector.
The Interface communicates with the
PC via USB interface. The PC recognizes it as a seven channel, eight button joystick.
Any program (simulators, games, etc.) which supports joystick can be controlled
by your R/C transmitter.
The channel mapping between joystick and R/C Transmitter can be easily changed using
the R/C Joy setup software. Any transmitter channel (from the eight channels) can
be assigned to any analog channel or button of the joystick. Analog channels also can be reversed.
The hardware is very simple contains only one microcontroller and no other active
part, only some resistors, capacitors and one xtal. It has bootloader so changing
the firmware is easy and it can be done by using the R/C Joy Setup program.
