Introduction

The AVR ISP is a STK500 compatible AVR microcontroller programmer with USB interface. The USB interface emulates a serial port so this device is fully compatible with many programmer software which uses AVRISP protocol. It’s also fully compatible with many development environment like AVR Studio.

The connector to the target device follows the Atmel ISP 10pin connector specification. But because the cable is not built in to the device any other cable/pinout can be used.

The installation is very straightforward after a few seconds of installing necessary drivers the device is ready for programming. Because of it's small size and operation without power supply (this device is powered by the USB interface) makes it ideal for portable application.

Please note this programmer is only compatible with 5V systems.
